Because we didn’t have our own building, Evening MBA classes were in other IUPUI buildings. As you walked through the School of Medicine, you would pass medical students carrying dissection trays. During mid-class breaks in the School of Dentistry, you could look at display cases of dental diseases.

Kelley Indianapolis has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. My mom, Jackie Thompson, served as a faculty secretary for 22 years, and I will celebrate my 25th service anniversary in August. We almost have enough years of service to cover the 50 years of Kelley Indianapolis!
We run into Kelley students and alums all over the place: in line during onsite registration at a half Ironman race, sitting next to us on a ski lift at Arapahoe Basin, dashing through LAX while rushing to our next plane, and even contractors we hire to work on our house. When I submitted my final exam in a real estate class, professor John Snell shook my hand and said, “Thank you for taking my class, Miss. Tran.“ I will never forget that moment! It’s fresh in my memory years later. His words mean a lot to me because professor Snell is a great teacher.
