When the COVID-19 pandemic forced many college students to pause or reconsider directions, Fernando “Nando” Borges-Chavez, BS’22, MSA’22, took the opportunity to take his business education and soccer career even further.
When busy physicians consider earning an MBA, the curriculum must be applicable from day one. While enrolled in the Physician MBA Program at the Kelley School of Business, Mara Nitu, MD, MBA’18, chief medical officer at Riley Children’s Hospital, workshopped ideas during class to solve challenges at work.
Melanie Raney always knew she wanted to earn an MBA. During her undergraduate studies, it was part of her five-year plan. But between work as a nuclear engineer in Michigan and taking time off to raise young children, it became less of a priority until she landed a new role as supply chain manager at AES in Indianapolis.

Dallara race car engineer Giacomo Campione, MBA’21, realized the business skills gained from an MBA would give him greater formal training than simply trying to learn them on the job. Together with his supervisors, Giacomo selected the part-time Evening MBA Program at Kelley Indianapolis.
If there’s an opportunity to learn about a career while in the Undergraduate Program at the Kelley School of Business, Kiera Sloan, BS’24, has taken it.
When he was applying for college, Jared Hutchek, BS’24, knew he wanted to pursue environmental law. He found that the Undergraduate Program at the Kelley School of Business in Indianapolis combines the ability to earn a bachelor of business on the same campus where he can get an environmental science degree.
