Getting back to the books for Kelley Indianapolis students also means it’s time to get Back to Business, an annual celebration to welcome students back to school and provide opportunities to learn more about what Kelley has to offer.
This year, the week of Sept. 7-10 will be filled with fun activities and offerings designed for both undergraduate and graduate students. The events follow the Aug. 29 New Student Orientation coordinated by the Academic Programs Office. Both events collectively will give you a wonderful education about Kelley, how to make the most of your time at the business school and what it means to be a Kelley student.
The orientation sessions will be held in the Lecture Hall, and Back to Business activities will be held primarily on the second and third floors of the BUS/SPEA building. A tentative schedule is posted below, but you can expect to see signs and more information about the week’s activities as the time nears. You may just run into Kelley Indianapolis staff and faculty members while you are rushing to class, so please take a minute to look up and soak in your new community. Kelley is glad to have you here and the staff and faculty look forward to seeing more of you.

The Kelley School of Business Indianapolis Student Government and the Office of External Affairs will host the Kelley Awareness Fair, an opportunity to learn of the many diverse and impactful student and campus organizations available to Kelley students. The second-floor learning area will be transformed into a festival of booths with everything you want to learn and more about campus organizations.
Evening students also will be able to enjoy a quick dinner or snack during a designated class break at approximately 7:15 p.m. in the orange learning space on the second floor.
Thursday, Sept. 9
The “Charge It” event for those “early-rising” students will consist of a free breakfast giveaway. Staff and faculty will be on hand to hand you a quick coffee and doughnut breakfast while you pass on your way to class. Enjoy your wake up call on Kelley!
Friday, Sept. 10
The week of activities culminates with the VIP Reception, an invitation-only event attended by top-tier students, alumni, donors, faculty and staff. The dean as well as academic program administrators will make presentations. This event allows students to network with connected alumni and others with a continued impact on the business school.
