The Kelley Student Alumni Partners (KSAP) invites students from all Kelley programs to participate in the second annual Kelley School of Business Alumni Association Case Competition.
The deadline to register for the Nov. 19 preliminary competition is Friday, Nov. 5. Winners will go on to compete for the grand prize of $3,000 at the finals, planned for Dec. 3. Both rounds will be held on Kelley’s Bloomington campus.
The case competition involves teams of three students competing for the best solution to real issues faced by the alumni association. The simulation will require the groups to thoroughly understand the issues, analyze solutions and effectively evaluate the impact if their recommendations were to be implemented.
The first round case will be based on a narrow-focused question and will seek a solution to an alumni association issue. The second round will involve more ambiguous questions about things such as feasibility, costs and benefits and alignment with association goals. A group of alumni will serve as judges.
Students from Bloomington, Indianapolis or Kelley Direct are allowed to enter, with the four winning teams vying for prize awards of $3,000, $2,250, $2,500 and $750. Undergraduate teams must include at least one junior or senior.
The KSBAA Case Competition is coordinated by the KSAP, a student board committed to better exposing Kelley’s student body to resources available to them from the KSAP and the Office of Development and Alumni Relations.
