In May of 2017, I accompanied my colleague professor Liz Malatestinic, who led a student group on a study abroad trip to Germany and Switzerland. After our long trans-Atlantic flight to Frankfurt, we took our jet-lagged students to The Hauptwache (main square) for a casual lunch. We had not been in the square 5 minutes when a couple approached one of our students, who was wearing an IU Kelley shirt. The husband was an alum of the Kelley Indianapolis program!
On the last day of the trip, our group ventured to the top of scenic Mt. Pilatus in the Swiss Alps near Lucerne. Students held our Kelley School banner while taking a group photo with the stunning scenery. To our surprise, we were approached by a woman who was a Kelley Indianapolis alum. Our Kelley alumni are indeed everywhere in the world.
