Emily Poulton, an assistant professor of management, has been selected as one of only four editorial fellows for the Journal of Applied Psychology—a prestigious journal here at Kelley Indianapolis. The Journal is a top ranked, peer reviewed journal in the field of management and applied psychology. The goal of this journal is to publish “original investigations that contribute new knowledge and understanding to fields of applied psychology.” Thus, the research published in this journal offers cutting-edge insights on a variety of topics that directly influence and inform the business practices that we teach in the classroom. With this fellowship, Emily will be mentored by a current associate editor and not only be able to help determine the research that gets published in this journal, but also influence the direction of scholarly discourse and the development of new theories and practices.
“The opportunities afforded by this editorial fellowship directly align with the Kelley mission statement,” said Poulton. “At Kelley, our goal is to transform the lives of students, organizations, and society through management education, research, and service. The fellowship is a great honor and an opportunity to me to serve the field of management and influence the applied psychology research that inevitably informs business practices and education.”
Emily also recently received a first-authored publication in the Journal of Applied Psychology entitled “My Manager Endorsed My Coworkers’ Voice: Understanding Observers’ Positive and Negative Reactions to Managerial Endorsement of Coworker Voice.”
Congratulations to Emily, who continues to make Kelley Indianapolis proud with her exceptional achievements!
