INDIANAPOLIS — A number of Kelley School students at IUPUI were honored this spring with both campus-wide and school awards and recognitions.
Alyssa Kane, BS’21, was recognized as the 2021 J. Dwight Peterson Key Award winner.
The J. Dwight Peterson Key Award is the most prestigious award conferred to undergraduate students by the Kelley School of Business in Indianapolis. It is presented to the overall outstanding senior on the basis of superior scholarship, extracurricular activities and character.
Each year, Kelley School of Business at IUPUI undergraduate faculty members identify graduating seniors for the Outstanding Student Awards. One student from each major is selected for this prestigious honor. To be considered for the award, students must have a minimum 3.5 major and IU cumulative GPAs. This year’s recipients were as follows:
Outstanding Student Awards:
Accounting: Michila Weddle
Finance: Alyssa Kane
Human Resource Management: Renee Abraham
Management: Steven Hiatt
Marketing: Emily Combs
Supply Chain Management: Anna Donovan
Each year, the graduating student with the highest GPA receives the Chancellor’s Scholar Award. This year’s recipient is Michila Weddle, an accounting and finance double major. The top student in the class also receives a Delta Sigma Pi Key. This year, Michila Weddle is the recipient. IUPUI also recognizes the three students with the highest GPA as Senior Scholars. The recipients for 2021 are Michila Weddle, Daisha Ottinger,and Morgan Ousley.
Seven Kelley School Indianapolis Undergraduate students were named to IUPUI’s Top 100, and one of those students was named to the top 10. Ayesha Pandey was named a Top 10 student at IUPUI this year. The other students who received the honor of being named in the Top 100 are: Vardhan Chulani, Andrea Hanas, Andriana Smith, Garret Jochem, Michila Weddle and Alexander Mohr. Alyssa Kane received the William M. Plater Civic Engagement Award from IUPUI.
The Kelley Indianapolis Student Government (KISG) also recognizes students and faculty each year. This year, they recognized:
