INDIANAPOLIS – A new webinar series offered through the Kelley School of Business Graduate Certificate in Medical Management program will give healthcare professionals insight and business knowledge during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The HealthBiz webinar series aims to translate business theory into practical tips to help any healthcare professionals (including nurses, physical therapists, healthcare administrators and other staff) to anticipate and solve healthcare problems. Each webinar will be taught by a Kelley School of Business faculty member.
The first webinar is set for Wednesday, November 11 at 12:15 PM ET. Professor and economist Kyle Anderson will discuss how the COVID-19 pandemic, the recession, and the election will influence the economic forecast for 2021. Specifically, he’ll address a time frame for recovery and how the economy will affect healthcare and healthcare-related businesses.
“As the COVID-19 pandemic has changed how healthcare organizations run, how healthcare works and the decisions healthcare professionals make on a daily basis, business acumen is imperative to making critical, life-or-death decisions: whether that be considering the economic outlook for finances, supply chain and demand or leadership skills necessary to keep a team motivated and driven during a marathon of a pandemic. This free webinar series offers knowledge specific to the healthcare profession with actionable insights to take into your day-to-day life,” said Kim Saxton, faculty coordinator of the Graduate Certificate in Medical Management and clinical professor of marketing.
