Annual Results from State’s Largest Business Sector Serve as Bellwether for State’s Economy
INDIANAPOLIS – Manufacturing is the lifeblood of Indiana’s economy, accounting for the largest percentage of state GDP in the nation. The results of the 2016 Indiana Manufacturing Survey: Roadblocks to Prosperity indicate that regulatory burdens and the state’s shortage of skilled workers continue to be top concerns for the vital industry.

Find out Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2016, when the final results of the survey will be released at the inaugural Indiana Manufacturers Hall of Fame Induction Luncheon, hosted by the Indiana Manufacturers Association and presented by Katz, Sapper & Miller.
In addition to presenting the findings of the 2016 Indiana Manufacturing Survey, the luncheon will celebrate the positive achievements of long-time Indiana manufacturing companies by inducting them into the Indiana Manufacturers Hall of Fame. Former Indiana governor and current Purdue University president, Mitch Daniels, will deliver the keynote address.
