In the days leading up to the IUPUI Top 100 Outstanding Students Recognition Dinner, we will be featuring our Kelley students who have been named a Top 100 for 2016.
What has been your favorite experience so far at Kelley?
My favorite Kelley experience has been the ability to form lifelong friendships with my classmates. Kelley has provided me with opportunities to get involved on campus. I feel connected with my classmates, and I have gotten to know most of them an a personal level. Being a Kelley student has definitely been rewarding both professionally and personally.
What has been your favorite class and why?
My favorite class was my X-105 Introduction to Business class. This class reaffirmed my passion for business, and I was able to gain many skills critical for professional success. The class also provided me with the opportunity to travel to New York City and tour the Federal Reserve Bank, the NYSE, NASDAQ and several other important financial institutions.
Where do you see yourself after you graduate?
After I graduate, I see myself attending law school in order to combine my passion of business and law. I plan on focusing my degree on corporate and international law. I am certain that my undergraduate degree from Kelley will provide me with the foundation necessary to succeed.
Favorite activity/extracurricular activity that you have been involved in while at Kelley?
My favorite activity on campus is being part of the Student Organization for Alumni Relations (SOAR) and the Regatta Steering Committee. I have been able to collaborate with different organizations in order to create events that engage students with IUPUI. Throughout my time in these organizations, I have been able to experience personal and leadership growth.
What is your Kelley moment?
My Kelley moment was my study abroad experience in Strasbourg, France. I have always been interested in international affairs and having the experience to study abroad with a diverse set of students was truly inspirational. I got to experience a whole new culture while also learning about integral factors that affect the European business atmosphere.
