When the Indianapolis Business Journal (IBJ) named its top Indiana financial executives of 2013, the Kelley School of Business was well represented with five alumni recognized for their financial leadership.
2013 CFOs of the Year:
Mark Winezenread graduated from Kelley Indianapolis in 1975 with a B.S. in accounting. He is the CFO of Walker, an Indianapolis consumer intelligence consulting firm. During his 33-year tenure, he has led the firm from break-even operating margins to double-digit margins. Winezenread is recognized in the Private Companies (revenue $100 million or less) category. Also a Kelley Indianapolis alumnus, Daniel Sellers graduated from the Evening MBA program in 1999. Recognized in the Not-for-Profit category, Sellers is the treasurer and CFO for the Health and Hospital Corporation of Marion County, which operates Wishard Health Services. He says a large part of his job is finding ways to keep people from coming to his hospital. Read IBJ profile.
Bart Shroyer graduated in 2003 from the Kelley full-time MBA program in Bloomington. He is the CFO for Defender Direct, the nation’s largest seller of ADT. The firm has made Inc. Magazine’s 500/5000 list of fastest-growing private companies every year since 2007, the year Shroyer joined the company. 2013 Honorable Mentions:
Matthew Selig graduated in 1997 from Kelley Indianapolis with a B.S. in accounting. He is the CFO for SerVaas Laboratories and SerVaas Management, where started his career after answering an ad for an accountant. The former infantry drill sergeant says his job is to make better leaders. Read IBJ profile.
Chad Jensen received his B.S. in accounting and finance from the Bloomington campus in 1998. As the CFO for Moorehead Communications, Jensen pays close attention to inventory and forecasting and is responsible for the company’s operations in accounting, finance, HR and IT. Read IBJ profile.
