The Evening MBA Program at the IU Kelley School of Business Indianapolis ranks in the Top 10 of all part-time programs nationwide, according to a recent listing by U.S. News and World Report.
The new ranking released this week indicates the Kelley Indianapolis program as the only Indiana program to make the Top 10.
“The recent rankings by the U.S. News and World Report reflect what those connected with the Evening MBA Program at the Kelley School of Business Indianapolis have known for many years: Our program can compete with any other in the nation due to our skilled students, talented faculty and dedicated staff,” said Philip Cochran, associate dean of Indianapolis operations.
“This achievement also confirms the Kelley Indianapolis mission of admitting the best and brightest business minds of the future and pairing them with faculty who are respected globally in their field,” Cochran added. “While the school celebrates our Top 10 ranking among part-time MBA programs, we will continue to measure ourselves by the growing successes of our students and their impact on the business world.”
The rankings are based on a fall 2009 peer assessment survey that asked business school deans and MBA program directors at each of the nation’s 314 part-time MBA programs to rate other part-time programs. For more information about the rankings, please visit usnews.com/aboutgrad.
“This recognition stems not only from our talented faculty and students, but also from the many valuable partnerships that exists between Kelley and the Indiana business community. These partners provide mentorship and experiential learning opportunities for our students, which are vital to our program,” said Cathy Bonser-Neal, chairperson of the Evening MBA Program.
Kelley’s Indianapolis program is unique because of its strong connection to the epicenter of Indiana commerce and the many corporations that call Indianapolis home. Its downtown campus caters to established business-minded professionals who choose to continue on their education at an elite business school in their own backyard.
In addition, the culture of the Indianapolis program has changed over the years along with the campus of Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis. No longer strictly a commuter campus, more than 30,000 students now attend IUPUI, including more than 1,000 at the business school.
The Evening MBA program boasts an enrollment of more than 400, and the students have five years of work experience on average. The average GMAT score for students accepted into the program is 610.
More than 3,500 MBA students have graduated from Kelley Indianapolis.
